Create an llms.txt file for your website in two minutes: a short Markdown file that tells AI assistants and agents what your business does and which pages matter. Live preview, checks, copy and download. Nothing is stored.
One link per line in the format Page title | https://full-url | short note. The note is optional. Use full URLs that start with https://.
Upload the file to the root of your site so it opens at https://yourdomain.com/llms.txt. On WordPress you can upload it by FTP or your host's file manager, or use an SEO plugin that supports llms.txt.
What it is. llms.txt is a proposed standard (llmstxt.org): a short Markdown file at the root of a website that tells AI tools and agents what the site is about and which pages matter most.
What is known. Google has said Search does not use it, and no major AI search engine has confirmed it as a ranking or citation signal. Chrome's Lighthouse now includes an llms.txt check in its agentic browsing audits, and many developer documentation sites publish one for AI coding tools.
Our view. It takes ten minutes, costs nothing and can help AI agents navigate your site, so it is worth adding. It is not a substitute for the work that does get businesses cited: clear service pages, reviews, consistent business details and crawlers that are allowed in robots.txt.
